BUDGET REPORT
The budget allocation and project activities of Nedumangad Block Panchayat are primarily focused on the following sectors:
Key Sectors and Development Priorities
- Agricultural Sector: Priority is given to increasing the production of traditional crops like paddy, tapioca, pepper, and coconut, as well as providing financial assistance and subsidies to farmers.
- Dairy and Animal Husbandry: Special funds are set aside for benefits to dairy farmers, animal husbandry projects, and the renovation of veterinary hospitals.
- Social Welfare Schemes: Providing housing construction, drinking water projects, study rooms, and self-employment loans for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
- Health and Sanitation: Improving physical infrastructure at primary health centers, implementing waste management projects, and organizing awareness programs.
- Women and Child Development: Allocating funds for infrastructure development of Anganwadis, and self-employment schemes for women (Kudumbashree product manufacturing, training).
